Tiger 3 achieves a new milestone in box office collections on its second day, marking a record-breaking performance for Salman Khan’s film.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s latest film, Tiger 3, has become a massive hit, marking Salman Khan’s most successful opening to date. The movie, part of the Tiger franchise and directed by Maneesh Sharma, surpassed the ₹100 crore mark within just two days, following an impressive ₹43 crore on the first day and ₹57.5 crore on the second, according to Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Emraan Hashmi plays the primary antagonist in the spy thriller, the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, which has been released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
Taran Adarsh noted that Tiger 3 not only gave Salman Khan his biggest opening but also stands as the “highest opener on Diwali Day” in Bollywood. Despite the common trend of no major Hindi film releases on Diwali due to festivities, the film has broken records, with Adarsh calling it a “game changer.” Tiger 3 now holds the title of Salman Khan’s largest opener ever. The film’s success has propelled it to the top of Salman Khan’s list of top five openers, followed by Bharat, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai.
Apart from the Tiger franchise, the YRF Spy Universe includes other films such as Pathaan, led by Shah Rukh Khan, and War, featuring Hrithik Roshan in the lead role.
