The intense campaign for the Telangana Assembly polls on November 30 is set to conclude at 5 pm on Tuesday. This election season has been the lengthiest among the five states—Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, and Mizoram—that have already undergone elections. The state entered the model code of conduct following the schedule announcement by the Election Commission on October 9.

The BRS is striving to secure a third consecutive term in power, facing strong opposition from the Congress, which is making an all-out effort to stage a comeback, and the BJP, which is leaving no stone unturned to come into power.

A total of 2,290 candidates are competing in the upcoming elections, including BRS leader and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, his minister-son KT Rama Rao, TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, and BJP Lok Sabha members Bandi Sanjay Kumar, D Arvind, and Soyam Bapurao.

KCR is running for office in two constituencies, Gajwel and Kamareddy, while Revanth Reddy is contesting in Kodangal and Kamareddy. The BJP has nominated its MLA, Etala Rajender, for Gajwel and Huzurabad, where he currently serves as the legislator.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed numerous meetings during the campaign period and held a roadshow in Hyderabad on Monday, generating significant enthusiasm. The vote counting is scheduled to take place on December 3.
