“PM Modi Criticizes Opposition’s China Comments, Comparing Them to Acting as Agents”
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the armed forces and criticized opposition leaders, asserting that their careless remarks cannot undermine the morale of the forces. He emphasized that the nation cannot tolerate language from them that resembles acting as “agents” for others.
Responding to the debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address in the Lok Sabha, PM Modi also strongly criticized individuals or groups aiming to disrupt the unity of the nation, as per PTI.
Referring to Congress MP DK Suresh’s recent claims of discrimination against South India by the Central government and his suggestion of a potential demand for a separate country, the speaker questioned, “What drives your sentiments?”
“Open discussions about creating a nation within a nation are occurring. Instead of fostering unity, such talks advocate fragmentation… Despite numerous divisions in the past, there’s still dissatisfaction prompting desires for further separation. How much longer will this persist?” the speaker queried, as reported by PTI.
When criticized by opposition members regarding alleged Chinese intrusion into Ladakh, the prime minister expressed unwavering confidence in India’s armed forces, dismissing attempts to undermine their morale with loose words. He emphasized that such rhetoric would not deter the country or its armed forces, labeling those who propagate it as agents of external interests. The prime minister highlighted India’s strengthened security over the past decade, with terrorism and Naxalism now localized to specific areas. He underscored India’s influential stance on zero-tolerance towards terrorism, noting global recognition of the capabilities of Indian armed forces both on land and at sea.
The prime minister expressed pride in the robustness of our military, noting a shift in parliamentary discussions from concerns about Kashmir to discussions about its remarkable development.
