Muslim boy killed in US, leaving Joe Biden and Jill “shocked and sickened”
In a hate crime connected to the Israel-Hamas war, a six-year-old kid was fatally stabbed while a 32-year-old woman was gravely hurt in the US.
The assassination of a six-year-old Muslim kid in Illinois, which the police have connected to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, was denounced on Monday by US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden as a “horrific act of hate.” In a statement, Biden added that these behaviors “stand against our fundamental values” and have no place in the United States.
“As Americans, we must unite to reject Islamophobia and all other forms of bigotry and hatred,” it continued. I’ve made it clear time and time again that I won’t be quiet in the face of hatred. We must be clear-cut. Hatred toward anyone is not permitted in America.
“We send our condolences and prayers to the family, including for the mother’s recovery, as well as to the larger Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim American communities,” Biden remarked on behalf of the entire White House staff.
A 32-year-old lady was gravely hurt in the US in a hate crime connected to the ongoing, deadly Israel-Hamas war while the six-year-old boy was stabbed to death. Police have accused a 71-year-old suburban Chicago man of the murder, stating that he targeted the two victims because they were Muslim and in retaliation for the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The event was discovered after the police located both victims at a residence in Plainfield Township’s unincorporated region, some 40 miles (65 kilometers) southwest of Chicago. The woman suffered over a dozen knife wounds on her body, while the boy was declared dead at the hospital.
It was allegedly the victims’ landlord who was the suspect. According to CAIR-Chicago, the suspect reportedly exclaimed, “You Muslims must die!” before the stabbing, citing texts from the boy’s mother to the boy’s father.
