LK Advani, a seasoned BJP leader, to participate in Ayodhya’s Ram Temple event.
LK Advani, a senior leader of the BJP, is set to participate in the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, as announced by Alok Kumar, the International Working President of Vishva Hindu Parishad.
Krishna Gopal and Ram Lal, RSS leaders, along with Alok Kumar, reportedly met LK Advani and invited him to the event, as per an ANI report.
Alok Kumar assured that LK Advani will be provided with all required medical facilities and accommodations during his attendance at the Pran Pratistha ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to take part in the unveiling of the idol of Ram Lalla at the majestic temple on January 22.
Invitations have been sent to saints from different traditions to participate in the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony scheduled for January 22. Controversy arose recently when Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Ram Temple Trust, stated that Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, key figures in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in the 1990s, were advised not to attend the temple’s consecration ceremony due to their advanced age and health concerns.
However, the Congress has rejected the offer to participate in the event. Key figures such as Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury have opted not to attend the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla.
Approximately 100 Congress office-bearers from Uttar Pradesh, including the party’s state unit chief Ajay Rai and state in-charge Avinash Pande, are scheduled to visit Ayodhya on January 15, coinciding with Makar Sankranti. Ajay Rai mentioned, “I am heading to Ayodhya on January 15, along with our general secretary and UP in-charge Avinash Pande, as well as senior leaders Pramod Tiwari and P L Punia. In total, about 100 Congress members will be making the trip,” according to PTI.
Rai disclosed his intentions, stating, “We have decided to travel to Ayodhya on January 15. The departure is scheduled for 9:15 am, coinciding with the ‘Uttarayan’ phase of the Sun at 9:13 am. During our departure, we will chant ‘Jai Siya Ram’ and adhere to the tradition of breaking a coconut. Upon reaching Ayodhya, the Congress office-bearers plan to take a dip in the Saryu river, visit the Ram temple, and explore Hanumangarhi.”
