Hyderabad Cricket Association instructs women’s team coach to abstain from cricket activities pending investigation.
The president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, A. Jagan Mohan Rao, has instructed Vidyuth Jaisimha, the senior women’s coach of Hyderabad, to abstain from involvement in cricket-related affairs within the HCA until investigations are concluded regarding accusations of him possessing and drinking alcohol, as well as causing disruptions in the team bus.
In a correspondence directed to Mr. Vidyuth, the head of the HCA expressed grave concern over an anonymous email they received, noting that videos pertaining to the incident were circulating on various social media platforms. Emphasizing the seriousness of the matter, Mr. Jagan Mohan stated that a comprehensive investigation has been initiated, and any subsequent actions will be determined by its findings.
Mr. Jagan Mohan further stated that they will not hesitate to pursue criminal charges based on the investigation report, and they may also impose a lifetime ban on Mr. Vidyuth if deemed necessary. The complaint submitted to the HCA on February 12 by some parents of the female cricketers alleged that Mr. Vidyuth frequently displayed drunken behavior and behaved inappropriately with the players.
We contend that numerous occurrences involving his drinking and behavioral problems have occurred thus far, leaving us baffled as to why the HCA has not addressed this matter,” they stated in their complaint.
“We assert that the aforementioned coach is once again accompanying the senior women’s team, causing fear among our girls, a situation that must cease immediately,” the parents expressed their concerns.
