CM Revanth Reddy Collaborates with MIM to Foster Hyderabad’s Development
Emphasizing the distinction between politics and development, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asserted that the Congress government aims to collaborate with the AIMIM for Hyderabad’s progress. He stated that while political differences may arise during elections, the primary focus afterward is on developmental endeavors. Reddy clarified that despite vigorous debates in the Assembly, any rivalry with the MIM remains confined to the political sphere, with no personal animosity involved.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the foundation for a 5.5 km Metro line from MGBS to Falaknuma, acknowledging the electoral success of AIMIM candidates in the Old City. Despite attempts to defeat them, he acknowledged his failure and pledged to develop the area, emphasizing its significance as the heart of Hyderabad.
He assured that the Congress government would remain in power until 2034 and promised completion of Metro rail projects in the Old City within five years, utilizing loans and central funds. Criticizing past plans to extend Metro to affluent areas, he emphasized the need for public transportation in areas like Old City, highlighting its importance for middle and low-income groups.
Plans were outlined for a Metro junction at Chandrayangutta to boost employment opportunities for local youth. Additionally, projects such as Musi River Front Development were proposed to enhance tourism and infrastructure in the region.
The Chief Minister endorsed the relocation of Chenchalguda jail and approved funding for road widening and infrastructure projects as requested by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi. Owaisi, in turn, welcomed the Chief Minister to the Old City and urged peaceful governance and communal harmony.
Overall, the focus was on the development of Old City, infrastructure projects, and fostering unity among different communities in Telangana.
