Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi officially joined the Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday. AICC Telangana incharge Deepadas Munshi, along with Forest Minister Konda Surekha and other officials, attended the event. Despite speculations that some GHMC corporators might also join her, none accompanied the Mayor, dispelling the rumors.
