Investigation Agency Conducts Raid on Arvind Kejriwal’s Private Secretary and Member of Parliament: Insider Reports
According to sources, the Enforcement Directorate is conducting raids on individuals associated with the Aam Aadmi Party, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary and a Rajya Sabha MP, as part of a money laundering investigation. The searches are currently underway at more than 12 locations in Delhi, Chandigarh, and Varanasi. Bibhav Kumar, the personal secretary of Mr. Kejriwal, along with Rajya Sabha MP ND Gupta and former Delhi Jal Board member Shalabh Kumar, are among those being targeted in the raids.
“We have no fear. There is no proof of any wrongdoing. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is attempting to convert the accused into a government witness,” stated Delhi minister Atishi during the morning press briefing. The searches are linked to a purported scam in the Jal Board and coincide with an AAP press conference, where the party had promised significant revelations.
The Enforcement Directorate is investigating two suspected financial irregularities as part of the case initiated by the CBI.
In connection with the case, two former chief engineers of the Jal Board have been apprehended.
